A tornado warning was issued for Collier and Hendry Counties until 1:15 p.m., according to NBC2 News.
A tornado watch is currently in place for parts of Southwest Florida, including Lee, Collier, Charlotte and DeSoto counties until 5 p.m.

The Sanibel Causeway Bridge has partially reopened and the Matlacha Bridge reopened just before 1 p.m. after temporarily closing die to high wind.
11:20AM | November 11th
The Sabinel Causeway Bridge and Matlacha Bridge are closed due to Hurricane force winds.
The School District of Lee County has announced students will be released three hours early on Wednesday due to Hurricane Eta.
Hurricane Eta has the potential to bring heavy rain and high winds this afternoon that could exceed safe levels for buses to be on the road the Florida Department of Education stated.
Students who normally travel by bus will be provided transportation. If you’d like to pick up your child early, please call your child’s school to make arrangements.
In addition, all after school activities, athletic practices and competitions are cancelled.
